• (August 20, 2007) Conference Venue Page
  A new page, Conference Venue, has been created giving full details of the DocEng location at the University of Manitoba and how to get to it. Look under Local Arrangements in the sidebar. Some of this information also occurs in the next two news items.
  
  
• (August 18, 2007) Conference Location
  DocEng 2007 wil be held in the Engineering and Information Technology Complex, EITC, at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.
  The building is numbered 28 and may be found in square F6 of the following map.
  EITC comprises three sub-buildings; DocEng will take place in the building laballed E2.
  Delegates may register and pick up their conference materials from 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29. Registration will take place in room EITC E2-461; there will be signposts to guide the way.
  A continental breakfast will also be provided at 8:00 a.m. each morning at the conference site.
  A bus service will be provided each morning of the conference between the Fort Garry hotel in downtown Winnipeg and this site. The bus will leave the Fort Garry hotel at 7:30 a.m.
  
  
• (August 17, 2007) Local DocEng Transportation
  A special (free) bus service will be provided for DocEng delegates each mornng and evening between downtown Winnipeg and the DocEng conference site at the University of Manitoba.
  On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, August 29, 30 and 31, this bus will depart from the Fort Garry hotel on Broadway at 7:30 a.m.
  On Thursday and Friday, the bus will return from the University to the Fort Garry hotel after the final conference session.
  On Wednesday the bus will leave from the University Club at 9:30 p.m. (21h30) after the evening banquet.
  The Fort Garry hotel is a short walk from most of the downtown hotels.
  
  To reach the University at other times, or if your hotel is not downtown, you are advised to consult the extensive Winnipeg transit site here. In particular, the no. 60 bus runs every 5-6 minutes between downtown and the University. The Winnipeg transit site allows you to plan other journeys easily.
  
  The cash fare is $2.00 for up to one hour -- if you need to take more than one bus, ask for a (free) "transfer".

  Delegates attending the Working Session on Tuesday Augut 28 should note that the conference bus will not operate on that day.
  
  
• (August 1, 2007) Details of local transportation between downtown Winnipeg and the DocEng conference site will be posted here shortly.

• (May 14, 2007) REMINDER to all authors of accepted contributions. At least one author MUST register for DocEng and present the paper or the paper will not appear in the Proceedings.
  
  
• (May 08, 2007) The deadline date for the registration and the submission of Short Papers, Posters, and Demonstrations is now May 18, 2007. This date is final.
  
  
• (March 25, 2007) Full paper and Working Session submission deadline of registered papers is now March 30, 2007. This date is final.
