The 18th ACM Symposium on Document Engineering
August 28, 2018 to August 31, 2018
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Student Mentorship Program
We offer mentorship for student authors attending DocEng2018. As a student, you may use this opportunity to talk with someone with experience in your research area. To use this opportunity, student authors indicate their interest on the submission form in EasyChair. Mentors will give feedback on the presentation and are prepared to be asked about everything around document engineering at large, how to do a PhD or how to position yourself in this field. The program is intended for all students, regardless of study program (BA, MA, PhD, etc.) and author contribution (single, first, last, etc., author). You will be introduced to your mentor during the first day of the symposium and then decide individually on how to proceed.
Mentors (tentative list):
- Magda Jankowska (Dalhousie University, Canada)
- Peter King (University of Manitoba, Canada)
- Charles Nicholas (University of Maryland, USA)
- Fernando Paulovich (Dalhousie University, Canada)
- Steve Simske (Colorado State University, USA)
